Custom Knives & Rail Road Spike Knives
Most recently we began forging and grinding our knives from railroad spike or hi-carbon steel. But we still purchase blanks from Premium Knife Supply and North Coast Knives. It is 440C stainless with a Rockwell hardness of 57 to 58. The handles are made by myself from a variety of woods and either hand rubbed, oiled or laquered with exterior satin of semi-gloss, the mosaic pins are also made by myself. The sheaths are cut from 7 to 8 oz vegetable tanned cowhide, designed, tooled, glued, stained and hand stitched by Juliet.
I can sell these knives with or without sheaths and I can sell the sheaths alone. Some knives may no longer be available, however, if you see something you like I can make it for you. Please email if price is not posted. Most sheaths sold independent of knife will cost $25 to $30.
